The village of High Hawsker is located roughly half-way between the seaside town of Whitby and the coastal village of Robin Hood’s Bay. In High Hawsker, you’ll find easy access to the Cinder Track walking and cycling path which runs from Whitby all the way through to Scarborough via Robin Hood’s Bay. The popular Hare & Hounds pub can be found just a few doors down from Atlanta Cottage. Head here to enjoy a good pint or a delicious meal. In Whitby you’ll be able to revel in the nostalgic seaside charm - head to the arcades or explore the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. Venture over the swing bridge and you’ll reach the East bank. This side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. A bus stop can be found outside Atlanta Cottage, one on each side of the road. Hop on the X93 or X94 to visit Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough in one direction, and Whitby, Guisborough and Middlesbrough in the other. The closest train station can be found in Whitby where you’ll have direct access to Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland and Newcastle, along with villages throughout the Esk Valley. Also operating from Whitby train station is the North Yorkshire Moors Railway where you can take a trip back to the past and enjoy a steam train ride through to Pickering. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. Luxuriously spread across three floors, Atlanta Cottage has a bright and airy feel throughout. Guests can unwind on the comfortable sofas in the living room after a long day of sightseeing or taking in the wonderful scenery that can be found around High Hawsker and the surrounding area. The smart kitchen is situated on the ground floor. The kitchen includes everything you need to dine in with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, cutlery and glasses. Amenities also include a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, kettle, microwave, oven, hob and toaster. A washing machine can also be found in a separate utility room on the ground floor. Outside, accessible from the lounge, is a large garden with a gravelled seating area, a well-kept lawn, along with a small patio area. A washing line is also provided for added convenience. Featuring exposed beams, guests can enjoy a delicious meal around the big table in a truly unique space. All bedrooms at Atlanta Cottage are created to be cosy and welcoming with everything you need for a relaxing stay. All rooms have space to store your belongings and make yourself well and truly at home. The cottage features two king rooms and two double rooms. The second floor bedroom is also home a single day bed which is permanently made up, ideal for parties staying with children. There are two bathrooms in the cottage, all supplied with large fluffy white towels and starter toiletries for every guest. The main bathroom is home to a bathtub and separate shower, while the second bathroom has a walk-in shower. Both spaces are complete with wash basins and WCs.
