The location was superb and the layout of the house was ideal, particularly the kitchen and conservatory area. There was easy access to Whitby without the need to drive. The kitchen was like a home from home with everything you could possibly need.

Liked the standard of the accommodation and the homely feel. It is well equipped and furnished to a high standard. This particular property is situated in a beautiful spot with the river and steam train at the bottom of the garden.

We loved this place. The décor and furnishings were of the highest quality. The beds were comfortable, the space fantastic and the atmosphere such a wonderful and happy place. We loved sitting in the conservatory watching the river and waving to the steam trains. It was one of the nicest places we have stayed. Thanks so much!

We had a great time in this lovely house, can't praise it enough. The house had all we needed and was furnished throughout to a very high standard. The setting was fabulous and enjoyed all the sights on the river. A great base to explore the surrounding Yorkshire coast, will be returning in the future that's for sure. Would highly recommend this property.

I just liked the whole package, it is a beautiful place and was very relaxing. My whole family, from the 4 year old to the 65 year old had nothing but praise, well done.

Our party of 8 adults have just enjoyed a lovely three night break here. There wasn't a single thing we could find fault with, there was everything and more that made our stay enjoyable. The location is ideal and the view over the estuary and watching the passing steam train was so relaxing. It is furnished to a very high standard and a credit to the owners. Whitby is just a short walk or taxi away. We will definitely be returning.

Great outside space, views of the river and steam trains were incredibly relaxing, very pretty. The lounge was huge and amazing. It had all mod cons. A very clean house and garden, the bedrooms very comfortable. A great house, would love to visit again. The location was also excellent as it was a 1 mile walk to Whitby and boating up the road is great fun!

The location of this property is fantastic, the children (and adults!) really enjoyed seeing the trains and the river outside was very peaceful. It's an easy walk into Whitby from the property.

We all loved the property as it was well decorated to a high standard and not just as a holiday let, the walk into Whitby was easy and comfortable to all of us. I would recommend this property to all and hope to use it again.

An excellent spacious riverside property with a high standard of furnishings and cleanliness. It is situated in a quiet cul-de sac-in a pretty village on the outskirts of Whitby. Very good and frequent bus services within a short walking distance from the property. High quality local butchers in the village also selling bakery items and milk. Certainly one to return to.

The house accommodated three generations of our family with ease. It was comfortable, well decorated and clean. The steam train running directly behind the house over the river was a hit for us all, particularly our two year old grandson - the people always waved to him! Facilities in the village were brilliant; pub, rowing, butcher, play barn, station and petting farm. Also, it was a lovely walk to Whitby.

The property was decorated extremely well and was like a home from home as there was everything we could have needed. The location of the property was great too, within walking distance of a wonderful Inn that served lovely meals. It was also central enough with Whitby, Pickering, Flamingoland and lots of other things to do within reasonable distance. I would happily stay there again - thanks.

The house has been decorated to a very high standard. A really beautiful house and wonderful setting overlooking the River Esk. We loved it and the local pub was great too.
