Walk the coastal path to Low Newton (6 miles) for a drink at the beach pub or head to Seahouses (2 miles) for a boat trip around the Farne Islands to see seals and a range of birdlife. Explore Bamburgh Castle (5.5 miles) and cross the causeway for a day on Holy Island (21.5 miles).
