About Owls Retreat

Both bedrooms at Owls Retreat have their own bathroom, and both of those bathrooms have a bath with a shower over it, so there is no compromise depending on which room you end up in. That is unusual in a single-storey property of this size, and it quietly removes the small daily negotiations that can wear on a shared holiday.

The rest of the property is one open room: kitchen at one end, dining table in the middle, sitting area with an electric fire. Electric central heating runs throughout, and fuel and power are included along with bed linen and towels. A cot and a highchair can be arranged on request. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge with an ice box.

Outside there is a lawned garden with furniture, and guests can use the communal play area, which buys parents a quiet half hour in the afternoon. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and there is off-road parking. The shop is eight tenths of a mile away and the pub a little over two miles, so a stay at Brean runs on a modest weekly shop and food cooked at the property, with the odd evening out when someone volunteers to drive.
