A wealth of nature-infused attractions such as Wookey Caves (about 8 minutes’ drive), Cheddar Gorge, and Kilver Court and Gardens (both about 20 minutes) lie within easy reach, while Wells with its cathedral, shopping, restaurants and heritage sites, is the perfect day out. There are also several good beaches in the area including Burnham-on-Sea (with Britain’s shortest pier) which is about 30 minutes’ drive away, and the pebbly Kilve which is a little over an hour’s drive.
