Llanasa is a village and community in Flintshire, on the north coast of Wales in north-east Wales. One of the ancient parishes of the county, the community originally comprised several townships including Gronant, Gwespyr and Trelogan, and today also includes Ffynnongroyw and Glan yr Afon.
The area sits within easy reach of the north Wales coast, with the beach at Talacre about three miles away. The surrounding countryside and quiet lanes are the main draw for visitors looking for a peaceful rural base.
Two pubs serve the Llanasa community and its surrounding hamlets.
White Lion Inn at Glan-yr-Afon is the standout: a beautifully renovated 18th-century pub that retains its original character and has built a strong local reputation. The Masons Arms at Gwespyr on Kelston Court is the second option, a short drive from the village centre.
Doris's Bunker on the unnamed road near Holywell CH8 9BG is a well-regarded local cafe with excellent ratings. Its off-the-beaten-track location makes it something of a hidden find for visitors staying in the area.
