Alt na Voir Tomintoul, Moray

Alt na Voir sits in Tomintoul with the shop and the pub a two minute walk away and a river about ten minutes further on foot, which gives a stay here an easy shape: wander out, wander back, no driving involved. Roadside parking sits right beside the cottage for the days when you do want the car.

Three bedrooms serve it, a double and a twin along with a single on the ground floor, and the shower room is on the ground floor too, which helps anyone who would rather not climb stairs at night. The sitting room has the dining area at one end and an electric fire for the evening, while oil central heating covers the rest of the cottage, no small thing in this part of Moray for much of the year.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge freezer and a washing machine, and the rent includes fuel, power, bed linen and towels. There is a Freeview television, a DVD player and WiFi. Garden furniture appears on the lawn through spring and summer, so a fine evening can be spent outside with a drink. One well behaved pet is welcome. It is a straightforward village cottage, and the walkable village is much of the point of it.
