The property is right in the heart of Kelso, giving you easy access to its fantastic range of independent shops and places to eat. Further afield, enjoy a day trip to the coastal town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, 28 miles away. The terraced stone cottage is decorated in a contemporary style, with muted tones and delicate pastel shades. Great care and attention have been taken to create a home-away-from-home vibe, and you'll find an array of plush soft furnishings, beautiful artwork, and homely accessories throughout the cottage. Hang your coats in the hallway, before heading through to the bright and airy lounge. Snuggle up on the corner sofa to watch a movie on the Smart TV or lose yourself in your holiday read. The cottage is nestled in an idyllic setting close to the village of Birgham with a friendly local inn within walking distance. Within easy reach of the picturesque towns of Coldstream (4 miles) and Kelso (5 miles). For those interested in salmon fishing the property is within walking distance of the famous Birgham Dub beat and only a few miles from most of the lower Tweed beats. Trout fishing day tickets are available on the Tweed and Teviot along with further fishing advice from the owners. Golfers can enjoy an array of local courses nearby including the championship course of Roxburghe (8 miles). Visit the magnificent Floors (5 miles) and Thirlestane (21 miles) castles or the grand stately homes of Mellerstain (12 miles) Manderston (13 miles) or Abbotsford (21 miles). Enjoy a day out at the Kelso Races or try ice skating and curling at the local ice rink. Step inside this luxurious cottage into the hall through to the bespoke well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob fridge/freezer microwave dishwasher and washer/dryer.
