Here you’ll find the magnificent Thirlestane Castle that hosts an array of fantastic events throughout the year including open-air theatre shows, art exhibitions, a vintage festival of motoring perfect for classic car enthusiasts, and The Tour de Lauder. The town boasts an excellent range of independent and bespoke shops, art galleries, award-winning eateries, friendly inns and a lovely golf course. The immediate area is a walkers and bikers paradise with direct routes on the Southern Upland Way and the Lammermuir Hills to explore. Fishermen will be delighted with the nearby River Leader and River Tweed which are renowned for their excellent salmon and trout fishing.
