Be sure to bring your binoculars in readiness for some armchair dolphin-spotting! Watch the boats as they ride the tide in and out of the estuary and be captivated by the spectacular sunsets. Many features of this unique and substantial house were inspired by the owner’s years spent living in Sri Lanka. Walk into the light-filled entrance with its beautiful handmade curved staircase, oak wood flooring and hand painted tiles. Open wide the large glazed doors and your gaze moves along the length of the stunning infinity water feature to the sea beyond. Set off on the Wales Coast Path to the top-rated beach at Mwnt or stroll down to the estuary and take a wildlife-spotting boat trip. Pop into nearby Cardigan to visit the Castle or take the youngsters to Cardigan Island Farm Park. You can just nip across the road to play a round of golf or have a pampering treat at the Cliff Hotel Spa next door. Enjoy afternoon tea there or take a meal at the neighbouring Flat Rock Bistro. Just 5 miles away the market town of Cardigan, on the River Teifi, offers plenty of places to explore as well as all your necessities, with its mouth-watering eateries, restored Norman Castle, Guildhall market, independent shops, galleries, cinema, theatre, supermarkets and leisure centre. Mabbitt's Horn, at Poppit Sands in North Pembrokeshire, is a delightful holiday home overlooking the beautiful Teifi estuary. This spacious, airy bungalow is in an elevated position with grassy lawns and a patio from which to enjoy the fabulous views over the river and is perfect for a family holiday. The large sandy beach at Poppit Sands is just across the road, reached by a footpath through the dunes. Pembrokeshire Coast Path begins at Poppit Sands and there is plenty of birdlife to be seen on the estuary. A regular bus service passes by Mabbitt's Horn running between Poppit and the nearby village of St. Dogmaels, where there is The Ferry Inn, an excellent riverside pub-restaurant, Môr Ffein Fish & Chip Shop (the best in Wales!) and Teifi Waterside Hotel with a bar/restaurant and riverside garden is within walking distance. St Dogmaels also has 12th-century abbey ruins, a heritage centre and cafe at The Coach House, and a weekly produce market. The popular market town of Cardigan, with its shops, restaurants, galleries, and theatre, is only one and a half miles away. Mabbitt's Horn is an ideal location to explore beautiful West Wales with the Pembrokeshire National Park close by.
