Brynifor is the perfect comfortable base from which to explore this unspoilt haven. You can walk through ancient Bluebell Woods to Cwmtydu and Seal Beach. Join the coastal path and head south along the spectacular coast path to Llangrannog or north to the pretty fishing village of New Quay. There are at least 10 stunning beaches within 15 minutes of the cottage, castles, historic sites and market towns. There are miles of cycle routes, and the Cardi Bach (the hail and ride coastal bus service) passes the cottage door, too. Take a boat trip from New Quay or just sit on a deserted beach and watch the dolphins frolic in the crystal clear blue sea. Enjoy the relaxed, friendly hospitality of this beautiful area. Fronlefrith is a romantic, bewitching Welsh stone cottage situated in Penbontrhydyfothau, near Llangrannog, on the Cardigan Bay coast. The cottage is located within 30m of a woodland walk to the Ceredigion stretch of the All-Wales coastal path and beach. Well behaved dogs are welcome and will enjoy the dog-friendly beaches of Llangrannog and Cwm Tydu, which can be walked from our doorstep. This walk goes through a riverside wooded valley to the coast path, which leads to a secluded cove. You can also head in a circular walk via Llangrannog or north toward New Quay, taking in the beautiful waterfalls at Cwmsillio and the butterfly reserve. New Quay and Llangrannog have an abundance of pubs and restaurants. Cwmtydu has a nice cafe bar by the beach. Miles of small-lane scenic cycling, and the popular beaches of Penbryn, Tresaith and Aberporth are all close at hand. The larger towns of Cardigan, with its castle, and the Georgian seaside town of Aberaeron are great for a visit. Originally the village forge and then a feed store, Celyn Bach in Blaencelyn on Cardigan Bay is now a delightful cosy cottage, just 7 minutes drive to the pretty coves of Llangrannog and Cwmtydu. A footpath within yards of the cottage leads to a wonderful walk of approximately 2 miles through the fields and woods to Cwmtydu cove and the Ceredigion Coastal Path. This is an excellent place for spotting marine wildlife: Atlantic Grey Seals come ashore at Cwmtydu to have their pups each year and dolphins are often sighted from Llangrannog and New Quay, as well as from various points along the coast path. There is an abundance of other wildlife to enjoy in this area, including badgers, red kites and buzzards. For golfers, just over a mile away there is a 9 hole golf course where the club house serves delicious meals. Riding and fishing are both available nearby. Celyn Bach is in a delightful situation for both walking and touring holidays. Y Boidy Bach near Llangrannog on Cardigan Bay, is a welcoming coastal cottage with a private hot tub. Converted from a stone cow shed and retaining many original features, it is surrounded by farm and woodland with views over open countryside. Y Boidy Bach is set on a small holding, away from the road down a private gated driveway. It is in a quiet but convenient location about a 5 minute drive from beautiful coastal villages with sandy beaches. It’s 25 minutes to the towns of Cardigan and Aberaeron. All guests are welcome to walk around the farm and visit the animals. You can stroke the horses, visit the pigs, sheep, goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks, turkeys and guinea fowl. The cottage is located away from all farm animals so equally if you want a quiet break, you won’t be disturbed by farm goings-on. It is in a quiet but convenient location about 5 minutes’ drive from the sandy beach at Llangrannog, within 15 minutes of the beaches in the villages of Aberporth, Penbryn, Tresaith and New Quay, and 20 minutes from the town of Cardigan. Dolphins, seals and other sea life can often be seen from the beaches and coastal walks in Cardigan Bay. There are boat trips along the Heritage Coastline from New Quay. There are many excellent golf courses nearby and numerous other sports and recreational activities available locally, including fishing, pony trekking, shooting, dry ski and boarding slope, bowls clubs, quad biking and canoe trips. There are lots of places of interest to visit nearby: a honey farm, a butterfly centre, the Cardigan Island Animal Park, the National Coracle Centre, and many more all are listed in the cottage wwelcome pack.
