No. 1 Cliffside New Quay, Ceredigion

No. 1 Cliffside is a modern, light-filled apartment overlooking the harbour and beach at New Quay, Ceredigion. Right in the centre of town, it puts shops, cafés, restaurants and takeaways on the doorstep, with New Quay's sandy beaches minutes away and the resident bottlenose dolphins often visible from the large glass fronted balcony.

Five guests sleep in three bedrooms: a king-size with sea views, a double, and a single that also looks out to sea, served by two shower rooms. The open plan living area has two sofas, two armchairs, an electric fire and French windows to the balcony, plus a dining table for five and a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. One well behaved dog is welcome on request, though not on the beds or soft furnishings.

The enclosed front balcony looks straight down over the harbour (children need adult supervision out there), and the driveway holds one car; the space is tight, but a parking spot in the centre of town is a real advantage. The Ceredigion Coast Path is easy to reach for cliff walks and wildlife, boat trips leave the harbour for fishing and dolphin spotting, and further afield lie the beaches at Llangrannog, Penbryn and Tresaith, crabbing from the harbour wall in Aberaeron, Aberystwyth's Victorian promenade and cliff railway, and Cardigan around 35 minutes away.
