You'll have plenty of choice when it comes to walking in the area, with forest and mountain routes directly from the property. The bustling village of Betws-y-Coed is 5.5 miles away. The former inn has been transformed into a luxurious holiday retreat that's full of period features, antique-style furniture, and elegant fixtures and fittings. High ceilings add a sense of grandeur and the large windows frame stunning woodland and mountain views. On the ground floor, you'll find a collection of beautiful reception rooms to relax in, including a vast entertaining space with leather sofas, a working bar with hand pumps for your use (beer kegs are also available by prior arrangement), tables for informal dining, and a roaring open fire. A few steps from here leads to the games area with table football, and onto the cinema room for cosy nights in watching your favourite films. Budding chefs will be in their element in the commercial-style kitchen, which is equipped with everything needed to cater for a large group. At dinner time, gather in the formal dining room for memorable feasts around the banquet-style dining table. The 12 stylish bedrooms are located on the first floor, and all have en-suite facilities and delightful views. Outside, you'll find an enclosed garden and patio area with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. Across the road and through the car park is a paddock that's ideal for four-legged guests and from here you'll have access to the river where you can launch canoes or enjoy a spot of fishing or wild swimming. There are some beautiful walks directly from the property. Stride out to the summit of Moel Siabod (2.5 miles) to experience the breathtaking views across Eryri or head deep into Gwydir Forest Park to explore the woodland trails and waterside walks at Llyn Crafnant and Llyn Geirionydd. The nearby village of Betws-y-Coed has a great range of independent pubs and restaurants, as well as shops and galleries to peruse. For a fun family day out, Zip World Conwy is just 12.5 miles away.

Bryn Llys Uchaf is a semi-detached stone cottage in Capel Curig, central Snowdonia, and just a few miles from the popular town of Betws y Coed. With wonderful views of the mountains, this is an excellent base for exploring the whole of North Wales. It is good walking country, or the adventurous can go to the top of Moel Siabod straight from the door. The National Mountain Centre Plas y Brenin is just down the road, for adventure taster days, indoor climbing wall and lots more. Cafe close by and three pubs within half a mile. Zip World and Surf Snowdonia are all within an easy drive. This area has also become popular with open water swimmers visiting Llynnau Mymbyr, Lake Geirionydd and Afon LLugwy (the nearby river). You will need to check the suitabllity of these locations for swimming yourself. Bryn Llys Uchaf is a three bedroom semi-detached cottage sleeping up to 5 people. This secluded traditional cottage has three bedrooms (Master bedroom with king-size bed, second bedroom with twin single beds and a third bedroom with a large single bed), a roomy landing, upstairs bathroom (small bath with shower over), downstairs bathroom (shower, sink and WC), kitchen-diner and cosy lounge with log burner. Facilities include electric heating,Fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, DVD player and garden furniture. Wi-fi broadband available. Bed linen and towels are supplied. The ground floor shower room can be used as a drying room, and there is enough space for bike storage. This is a no smoking property. EV type 2 charger available through the Monta app which guests will need to download and pay for through the app. Guests will also need to bring their own cable. Ty Bont is an attractive detached cottage situated in the heart of Snowdonia a short distance from Capel Curig. Nearby is the popular town of Betws y Coed with it's bustling shops and eating places. Surrounded by mountains this is an excellent base for exploring the whole of North Wales. Climbing, biking and hill walking are all available whilst there are also many low level walks also too. Ty Bont is a detached 2 bedroom cottage in Capel Curig, inside the Snowdonia National Park. The location is excellent for exploring Snowdonia and the cottage accepts up to 2 dogs. Ty Bont is set out over 2 floors. On the ground floor the entrance hallway leads onto the living room with a sofa, 2 arm chairs, flat screen TV (Sky freeview TV and a DVD player), and an open fire place. In the other direction the hallway leads to an L-shaped kitchen-diner. Please note the kitchen has an induction hob. Upstairs are the 2 bedrooms, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom which has a folding single bed if you need to sleep 5 people. Both bedrooms have a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The family bathroom is also on the first floor offering a bath with shower over it, WC and washbasin. Ty Bont has full central heating, Fibre Superfast WiFi internet access and bed linen (please bring your own towels). It is a no smoking property. Capel Curig is inside the Snowdonia National Park and you can explore the area on foot with a choice of relatively flat routes near to the cottage or the mountains of Moel Siabod and Tryfan slightly further away. The Plas y Brenin National Mountain Sports Centre is a 5 minute walk away and offers a number of courses and activities, other activities in the area inlcude Zip World and Surface Snowdonia. Capel Curig has a number of cafes and hotels near by if you fancy eating out.
