When night falls, the sumptuous king-size bedroom awaits upstairs, also offering a TV. Out at the back of the property, style meets function in the renovated garden space. Featuring gravel and decking, ample seating and a secure shed with bike-washing facilities, this garden is a hidden gem for summertime stays. A pleasant walk or an easy drive takes you to Machynlleth, home to the MoMA gallery, an array of independent shops and boutiques and an annual comedy festival. The area is a UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere zone with exceptional walking and biking routes around unique and beautiful landscapes. Close by, find the RSPB Ynys-hir Nature Reserve, home to an array of exciting bird life. Moving in the opposite direction, the mighty Cadar Idris mountain, also known as Penygader, is 11 miles from home and worth hiking or mountain biking for exceptional views out across the Dyfi Valley.
All around are public footpaths that will take you to the banks of the gorgeous Dyfi River.

Perfect for nature lovers walkers and cyclists this charming farmhouse makes a wonderful holiday base in the south of the glorious Snowdonia National Park ideal for exploring Cwm Maethlon / Happy Valley. Local attractions include the Dyfi Osprey Project Falconry Experience Wales (both 9 miles) and RSPB Ynis-hir Nature Reserve where you can see lapwings and redshanks. The mountains of Cader Idris are to the north (13 miles). To the east is the bustling market town of Machynlleth (9 miles) or you can head east to the coast and the seaside village of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey) (7 miles). Both Aberdyfi and Machynlleth have some great places to eat and drink with activities including golf fishing and water sports. Situated at the end of a farm track this whitewashed and beautifully furnished Welsh farmhouse provides a fantastic holiday getaway for up to eight guests and has original exposed beams and stone flooring throughout. Entering the property the light and spacious kitchen/diner has a range of equipment including an electric range oven dishwasher under-counter fridge with ice compartment and a charming breakfast table. The large fridge/freezer can be found in the nearby utility room which also has a washing machine tumble dryer and plenty of space for storing bikes coats and shoes. The utility room also makes a great games room with table football and an electronic dartboard. Exploring the ground floor further the fresh snug and cosy lounge has plenty of seating a warming wood burner a TV and a DVD player making it an ideal space to sit back and relax at the end of a lovely day. There s a separate dining room perfect for enjoying a celebratory meal in style. The ground floor also houses the family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath WC and underfloor heating. Going upstairs there are four tastefully decorated bedrooms to choose from: two pretty double rooms a snug bunk bedroom and a relaxing twin room. There s also a handy shower room complete with a shower and WC. Stepping outside the enclosed garden has plenty of outdoor furniture a chiminea and BBQ perfect for spending an afternoon dining alfresco. The garden also has a small stream stone steps and some steep drops down to the farm track please keep children supervised. Dogs should also be kept on a lead as the surrounding fields have plenty of sheep cattle and wildlife. Parking is available for three cars please note the local farmer has right of way for access to the nearby fields. Need to know: 4 bedrooms 2 doubles, 1 twin, 1 bunk bedroom. 2 bathrooms 1 bathroom with shower over bath, WC and underfloor heating; 1 shower room with shower and WC. Electric range oven, dishwasher, fridge. Fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer in utility. Wood burner. TV, DVD player. Bluetooth speaker in kitchen. Table football, electronic dartboard and outdoor games equipment. Garden with chiminea, BBQ and outdoor furniture. Off road parking for 3 cars (please note the local farmer has right of way to nearby fields). Please keep dogs on a lead due to livestock in surrounding fields. Bike storage. Aberdyfi 11 miles. Please note the farmhouse is accessed via a farm track please ensure all three farm gates are closed securely. The garden has a small stream, stone steps and steep drops please ensure children are supervised.
