Visit the National Trust s Penrhyn Castle (18 miles) and Aberglaslyn (12 miles) Criccieth Castle (11 miles) and Portmeirion Italianate Village (16 miles). Take a ride on a Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon (8 miles) or up the Snowdon Mountain Railway at Llanberis (13 miles) and walk down from Snowdon s summit.
